PIH Health Whittier Hospital is seeking a transformational Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to join our executive leadership team and drive the next generation of nursing practice, quality, and operational performance.

The CNO provides strategic and operational oversight for all nursing services, driving quality, safety, patient experience, and financial performance. This leader will play a key role in clinical transformation, technology integration, and development of modern care delivery models that support system growth and workforce sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Lead nursing strategy, operations, and clinical transformation initiatives
- Drive quality, safety, and patient experience outcomes exceeding national benchmarks
- Strengthen nurse engagement, retention, and shared governance
- Partner with executive leadership and medical staff to advance organizational strategy
- Oversee nursing budgets, staffing models, productivity, and resource stewardship
- Champion evidence-based practice, professional development, and innovation
- Partner with Information Technology department on the implementation of EPIC in nursing areas.
- Current California RN License
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or Business Administration preferred
- Minimum eight years acute care nursing experience, including five years in progressive leadership roles
