Direct Support Professional

PALS LLC has been providing personalized support services to adults with developmental disabilities for over 17 years. Founded in 1998, PALS focuses on helping individuals live independently in their own homes, with services tailored to meet their unique needs. Based in Whittier and Indio, PALS partners with the Regional Center to support clients throughout Los Angeles County and the Coachella Valley.

This is a on-site role for a Direct Support Professional located in Whittier, CA. The role involves providing individualized support and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities in various aspects of daily life, including personal growth, skill development, and community integration. Responsibilities include implementing customized support plans, offering one-on-one instruction, and facilitating meaningful participation in the community while ensuring safety and promoting independence.

• Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability in diverse situations
• Previous experience in direct support roles is beneficial but not mandatory
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to meet client needs
• Valid California Driver's License
• Ability to lift 35 pounds
