Position: Enterprise Scheduling Registrar, Rehab - FT Days

Physical Therapy & - Whittier

This position performs all tasks related to patient scheduling and pre-registration of outpatients in an efficient, accurate, and hospitable manner to ensure that patient, physician, and hospital needs are met. Job duties include: insurance authorization, chart preparation, faxing, filing, and managing the phones. Engages in performance improvement activities as needed and serves as a communication facilitator for the area of responsibility.

Under the direction of Management, the Enterprise Scheduling Registrar performs all tasks related to patient scheduling and pre-registration in an efficient, accurate, and hospitable manner to ensure that patient, physician, and organizational needs are met. Works closely with management to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Engages in performance improvement activities as needed and serves as a communication facilitator for the area of responsibility.

  • Bilingual preferred
Required Experience
  • Minimum one (1) year experience of customer service or related field
  • Knowledge of Insurance and Authorization process
  • High school graduate required or equivalent, evidence of continuing education preferred
  • Medical terminology or demonstrated proficiency within six months of hire date (via a course or self‑guided study program)
  • Telephone experience with good phone etiquette
  • Successful completion of high school education or GED
  • Ability to maintain composure and balance multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • 1 year customer service experience
Preferred Experience
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish / Chinese preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a doctor’s office scheduling patients or hospital registration / admitting
  • Minimum 1 year Healthcare or Call Center Experience
  • Telephone experience with excellent telephone etiquette
  • Knowledge of insurance/authorization process and basic medical terminology
  • Medical Assistant
  • Work experience in a Call Center setting
