Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking an ER Tech for our Emergency Department
. This is a full-time, 12-hour, variable-shift position. The position reports to the Director of ER/I.C.U.

The ER Technician takes assignments and direction from the assigned Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse. The ER Tech is directly responsible for the delivery of high quality, individualized basic patient care. The ER Tech supports the hospital mission and vision. The ER Tech utilizes knowledge of the patient’s age, developmental status, spiritual and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care.

This position contributes to the provision of safety and quality care that results in positive outcomes in patient care.

• Deliver high quality, individualized basic patient care under supervision of the Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse.
• Support hospital mission and vision in daily patient care activities.
• Apply knowledge of patient age, development, spiritual and cultural diversity in care provision.
• Contribute to safety and quality care to achieve positive patient outcomes.

• Minimum Education:
  
  High school graduate or equivalent required. EMT/CNA or MA certification preferred.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  1 year as an ER Tech, CNA or MA in a hospital setting preferred.
• Required
  
  Certifications:
  
  Current BLS required. AB508, MAB, CPI or equivalent training within 90 days of hire/transfer/promotion date.
• Other:
  Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
