Full Time | Weekly Pay | 1st Shift | Santa Fe Springs
Busy machine shop is looking for someone who knows their way around cutting equipment like band saws (horizontal/vertical), cold saws, chop saws and general metal cutting equipment.
What You'll Do- Operate band saws to cut steel, aluminum, and other metals
- Read cut lists, job travelers, and basic blueprints
- Measure materials using calipers, micrometers, tape measure
- Select the right blades and adjust feed rates, tension, and angles
- Perform basic maintenance (blade changes, lubrication, cleaning)
- Ensure parts meet tolerances and quality standards
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
- Assist with loading/unloading and moving material around the shop
- 1+ year experience with band saws or metal cutting equipment
- Machine shop or fabrication experience preferred
- Able to read mechanical drawings and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Safety‑minded and dependable
$22 per hour.
ShiftMonday to Friday; 7am - 3:3pm. Flexible to train in 8am
-4:30pm shift. Flexible to work overtime when needed.
