Sheer Machine Operator 2nd Shift

Adecco is assisting their customer in Whittier CA hire a Shear Machine Operator

The Shear Machine Operator sets up and operates power shears to cut metal materials into specified shapes and sizes, ensuring accuracy and quality according to job requirements. This role requires interpreting blueprints and job orders, setting up the machine, monitoring its operation, and performing quality checks.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* + Cut various sheet metal materials and aluminum tubing.

+ Adjust the distance between cutters to thickness of metal.

+ Positions and clamps work piece to table and sets specified distance. between center point of work piece and cutting blades.

+ Starts action of cutters to cut metal.

+ Lifts and aligns work piece between cutting blades manually or by hoist and guides it along layout lines to cut irregular shapes.

+ Lays out lines onto work piece or traces from template.

+ Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs to keep the machine in good working order.

+ Inspect cut pieces for accuracy, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.

+ Adhering to all safety procedures.

+ Perform general housekeeping duties around the workstation.

+ Other duties may be assigned

* + Understanding machine operation, blueprint reading, and ability to use hand tools.

+ Ensuring accuracy in cutting and quality control.

+ Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve machine issues.

+ Effective communication with team members and supervisors.

Shift/Pay

Begin Training on 1st Shift 6am will transition to 2nd shift 1pm once trained

$21-$23/hr
