RN Charge Nurse, Renal Telemetry Unit

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and perform charge nurse duties.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Assess patient and staff needs, coordinate care delivery and patient flow.
• Serve as a role model and resource for staff.
• Identify safety concerns and institute measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

• Leadership abilities
• Written and verbal communication, interpersonal competence, negotiation and confrontation skills
• Organizational, prioritizing, and time‑management skills
• Basic computer skills
• Clinical education related to specialty
• Principles of patient/family teaching
• Proficiency in healthcare technology within specialty area
• Commitment to customer service and ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and colleagues

• Current California RN license
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• BSN or concurrent enrollment in a BSN program

• Clinical certifications relevant to the unit (e.g., ACLS, NRP, PALS)
• Two years’ prior experience in an acute care facility

Hourly rate: $52.83 – $87.99
