We are seeking a skilled plumber to perform general plumbing tasks, including replacing copper lines, and conducting building repairs on sinks, toilets, and drainage systems. The position involves working in a dynamic community college environment.

• Replace copper lines (sweating copper lines).
• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and plumbing systems, including water heaters, sinks, toilets, and drainage systems.
• Diagnose plumbing issues and determine appropriate solutions.
• Inspect plumbing systems to identify leaks, blockages, or defects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building plans.
• Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and safety standards.
• Respond to emergency plumbing calls when required.
• Provide cost estimates and timelines for plumbing services.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
• Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, and team members.

• Experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and facilities maintenance.
• Knowledge of PVC, blueprints, and general building maintenance.
• Proficiency in snaking, draining, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to perform facility repairs and general labor tasks.
• Competence in piping and painting.

• Proven experience in replacing copper lines (sweating pipes).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, within a community college. The role requires adherence to safety standards and professional communication with various stakeholders.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Whittier, CA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
