Warehouse Mail Sorter – Whittier, CA
Job Details- Location: Whittier (Close to Rio Hondo College)
- Schedule: Varies (one weekend day each week)
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:40 PM (Schedule may vary)
- Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour (Incentive $2.00/hour increase in December)
- Type: Seasonal position with potential for permanent hire
Join our fast-paced mail sorting team! We’re looking for detail-oriented and dependable Mail Sorters to help keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities- Sort all mail according to designated sort area requirements
- Meet daily production and accuracy standards
- Inspect each mail piece to ensure indicia and ZIP codes are correct
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to read and understand English
- Strong attention to detail; able to identify incorrect or missing labels/addresses
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
- Ability to stand for the full shift and lift up to 50 lbs frequently
- Experience using an RF scanner preferred
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that may get hot in summer and cold in winter
