Housing Administrative Specialist BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this position is to assist individuals and families seeking rental assistance and to provide clerical assistance to the Housing Division. This is accomplished by greeting and referring customers and callers, taking messages, answering questions and providing assistance and information, processing requests for services, preparing reports and payment requests and completing related clerical tasks. This position is responsible for all aspects of the waiting list including accepting applications, updating the list and client records.
Additional duties include processing documents, payments and invoices, entering data, maintaining inventories, opening and distributing mail, filing, and maintaining department records.
Must be able to take and pass the certification for HUD online systems within 30 days of date of hire.

OTHER REQUIREMENTSProficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, Bilingual preferred but not required.
Pre-employment keyboarding test (typing speed) with a minimum score of 35 WPM preferred.
