As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will take the lead in planning, coordinating, and executing mechanical construction projects from concept to completion. This role offers you the opportunity to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and compliance, ensuring projects are executed safely, timely, and within scope. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Execution:
    • Organize, schedule, and coordinate all phases of construction projects to optimize productivity and adhere to deadlines.
    • Oversee project budgets, managing costs related to labor, materials, and equipment throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Prepare and manage cost tracking reports, billing, schedules, and change orders.
    • Price and track all project change orders, communicating updates to stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement quality control programs to maintain standards across all projects.
    • Ensure compliance with safety codes, environmental regulations, and internal quality standards, promoting an injury-free work environment.
    • Investigate and resolve incidents or delays, ensuring timelines and construction procedures are followed.
    • Collaborate with the BIM Coordinator to manage all Building Information Modeling activities for successful project detailing and coordination.
    • Oversee post-construction activities during the warranty period to ensure client satisfaction and resolve any issues.
  • Subcontractor & Team Coordination:
    • Review job drawings and specifications to determine methods and scope of construction.
    • Work closely with Foremen and other teams for timely procurement of materials and equipment.
    • Coordinate subcontractor documentation, work schedules, and materials effectively.
    • Facilitate vendor and subcontractor negotiations while resolving onsite issues.
    • Communicate regularly with field personnel and project stakeholders to overcome challenges and ensure alignment.
  • Client Communication & Reporting:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and consultants, maintaining clear communication throughout the project.
    • Conduct regular site visits, providing updates on project progress, milestones, and key decisions.
    • Collaborate with supervisory staff, design professionals, and clients to address work procedures and construction challenges.
What You Bring
  • A Bachelor’s degree or certification in Construction Project Management with a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in project scheduling, budgeting, and field operations.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical systems and construction documentation.
  • Excellent leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and project management software.
  • OSHA 10 certification or higher.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
