The Wichita Falls ISD is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Substitute Teacher to support classroom instruction and maintain a safe, productive learning environment.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of subjects assigned
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to instruct students and manage behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Maintain emotional control under stress
• Ability to follow written instructions

• Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and handbook.
• Take all necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Maintain daily attendance in assigned classroom(s).
• Implement lesson plans left by the classroom teacher or as assigned by campus administration.
• Maintain a professional relationship with campus staff.
• Be a positive role model for students.
• Support the mission of the school district.

Mental Demands:
Maintain emotional control under stress.

Physical Demands:
Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
