Visiting Assistant Professor​/Instructor, French

Overview

Position visiting Assistant Professor / Instructor, French, Department of World Languages and Cultures, Prothro-Yeager College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Midwestern State University. Starting date:
Fall 2026.

• Teach 12 credit hours (4 courses) per semester. Face-to-face and online teaching are both expected.
• Provide service to the department, college, and university, including participation in recruitment and retention activities.

The Prothro-Yeager College of Humanities and Social Sciences includes the departments of English, humanities and philosophy; history; psychology; political science; sociology; and world languages and cultures. Each department offers majors, minors, and core curriculum courses. Faculty development funding is available at the university, college, and departmental levels.

• Visiting Assistant Professor – Ph.D. required.
• Visiting Instructor – Minimum of M.A.
• French (or related field) with at least 18 graduate hours in French.

• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community.

• Regular reliable attendance is required.
