Primary
Purpose:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Provide students with a variety of skills in the area of culinary. This includes but is not limited to; career exploration in all areas of culinary and hospitality management.
Qualifications:
Must meet at least two of the three following qualifications in these areas culinary/hospitality management or similar fields:
- Education (certificate/associates or bachelor's degree)
- Texas Teaching Certification in Family Consumer Science Composite:
Grades 6-12 or Human Development and Family Studies:
Grades 8-12 or equivalent content - At least 3-years of experience in the field
- License or certification in field (Serve Safe Manager, Prostart, etc)
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Knowledge of culinary
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
At least one year of student teaching or approved internship (preferred)

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
