Purpose:
Deaf education aides are utilized to enhance the special education instructional program for hearing impaired students in the school's mainstream working with general ed. teachers, deaf education teachers/staff, and hearing impaired students.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Valid Texas educational aide certificate
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Ability to work with hearing impaired students
Ability to communicate effectively
Experience:
Must have Signing experience

Maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motion. Moderate standing, stooping, bending, and lifting. Works outside and inside.
