Primary PurposeProvide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Provide students with a variety of skills in the area of industrial trades. This includes but is not limited to; tool identification and usage; construction math; OSHA training;
career exploration; blueprint reading. Teaching 3 levels of plumbing starting with basics and moving up to working on CEC house build with plumbing students.
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university (preferred)
Valid Texas teaching certificate or enrollment in an accredited ACP for one or more of the following:
- Any Technology Education certificate
- Any Industrial Technology certificate
- Trade and Industrial
Education:
8-12 w/appropriate work approval - Vocational Trades and Industry w/appropriate work approval
Or 3 years experience in the field, formal education, and/or industry license
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Knowledge of Industrial trades/plumbing
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
At least one year of student teaching or approved internship (preferred)

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, plumbing equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
