ASRC Federal Gulf State Constructors, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a full‑time Electrical Engineer to support government customer programs at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. This position requires on‑site presence.

Key Role
  • Perform specific duties and responsibilities related to electrical engineering, including evaluating electrical systems, products, and components and applications.
  • Review U.S. Air Force Requirements & Optimization (R&O) playbook for project initiations and development of maintenance requirements.
  • Perform inspections on completed project work along with equipment installations capturing Real Property data.
  • Provide efficient, effective, and timely electrical engineering expertise, including determining electrical loads, generator sizing, and interior electrical design.
  • Interpret construction/engineering contract drawings and specifications to ensure all construction meets initial design and specifications.
  • Provide scope definition, specification, studies, budgeting, and write‑up into project proposals of electrical engineering projects and prepare initial government cost estimates for small projects.
  • Perform physical activities including climbing in and around equipment, crawling, and working outdoors.
  • Consult and coordinate with mechanical, structural, and civil engineers during the design phase to ensure proper mechanical layout.
  • Support and work with project design teams consisting of architects, engineers, and customer’s technical staff.
  • Provide technical support to programmers and cost estimators.
  • Conduct technical review of Military Construction (MILCON), Unspecified Minor Military Construction (UMMC), facility projects, and architect‑engineer designers’ plans and specifications.
  • Perform root cause analysis on systems failing prematurely or systemically.
  • Review AF Form 332 work request submissions for validity of scope and practicality of work in house.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a program certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
  • 2-4 years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Ability to identify common site architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection/detection system components, and understand how they function/operate.
  • Experience planning or performing facility maintenance, improvements, or repairs.
  • Experience and aptitude using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks involving lifting at least 50 lbs.
  • Committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident to meet contract requirements for work on a military installation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC), which requires successful completion of a federal background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a military environment and familiarity with U.S. Air Force Civil Engineering guidance, rules, and regulations.
  • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain;
    Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction management software, project closeout procedures, preventive maintenance, construction and repair terminology, and processes.
