Responsibilities

The Process Engineer position covers manufacturing support through process control, improvement initiatives, and integrity assurance for assigned products. Duties include quoting new parts, attending to developmental process concerns, supporting new business, improving existing processes, developing new technologies, providing technical assistance, and conducting metallurgical studies for product quality and failure analysis.

Job Responsibilities
  • Plan and formulate engineering programs within assigned responsibility.
  • Implement and review process designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements.
  • Support technical development, customer issues, cost‑reduction programs, and resolve engineering design and testing problems.
  • Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
  • Prepare interim and final project reports.
  • Provide technical support for coating, brazing, and/or manufacturing areas.
  • Interface with production personnel on processing requirements.
  • Interact with suppliers and customers on technical issues.
  • Perform process quality investigations as required.
  • Develop and implement process improvements and cost reductions.
  • Design tools and fixtures for processing.
  • Generate material requisitions to initiate procurement.
  • Translate customer requirements into usable work instructions; interface with customers on technical issues.
  • Review purchase orders, specifications, and blueprints for impact.
  • Assemble data packages for customer approval.
  • Specify processing and generate work instructions.
  • Pursue elimination of waste, equipment reliability improvements, and operating‑cost reductions; employ statistical methods as necessary.
  • Continuously improve performance of job responsibilities.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgy from an accredited institution.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.
  • Access to export‑controlled items; eligibility required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a casting environment.
  • Prior internship or co‑op experience in manufacturing or laboratory.
  • Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and scientific problem‑solving methods.
