• Inspecting and repairing ground support equipment
• Installing and removing Quick Engine Change (QEC) kits on aircraft engines
• Dealing with coworkers, clients, and public

• Perform engine QEC buildup actions, both assembly and tear down.
• Use automated maintenance data systems to maintain equipment records and document maintenance actions.
• Inspect, test, and operate GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation.
• Service equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air; disassemble and assemble malfunctioning GSE accessories and components.
• Remove, disassemble repairs, clean, treat for corrosion, assemble, and reinstall GSE components and accessories.
• Stencile and mark GSE in accordance with technical publications, store, handle, label, and use.
• Disposal of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.
• Operate, clean, inspect, and service GSE towing vehicles; provide dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.
• Practice good housekeeping, tool control, foreign object damage prevention, and safety at all times.
• Work with a variety of repair and test equipment including welders, torches, pressure testers, and electrical testers.
• Complete all required documentation and tagging requirements of QEC items.
• Order QEC parts from COMBS.
• Refer to technical publications to determine specifications to be met.
• Track and record calibration dates to insure support equipment is up to date.
• Keep files with documentation and certifications of calibrated equipment.
• Ensure equipment is sent out for calibration when due.
• Ensure all equipment is accounted for.
• Assign I.D. numbers to each piece of equipment.
• When turning over equipment to the operating command, sign a receipt for all equipment to keep on file in COMBS.
• Perform maintenance and inspections on GSE according to applicable maintenance manuals, manufacturer specifications, and FAA regulations.
• Research and order materials for repair of support equipment.
• Cleaning of warehouse, shops, offices, and restrooms as required.
• Clerical and other assigned duties as required.
• Prepare GSE for storage and transportation.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  Understanding of scheduling techniques and technical order requirements; accurate troubleshooting and repair of complex aircraft engine/support equipment systems; mental and visual ability to read and understand detailed technical publications; effective oral and written communication; courteous customer service; accounting principles; contractual requirements; logistics and data information systems.
• Education and experience:
  
  High school graduation or GED;
  Thirty-six (36) months in one or more maintenance trades;
  Minimum three (3) years recent aircraft maintenance experience;
  Valid FAA Airframe and Power plant certificate.
