Position Description
The Campus Director provides the following to their local campus: spiritual leadership, operational excellence, community development, fund raising, establishing healthy vocational training options, and the overall vision of the ministry on a local level and organizing its resources to fulfill the overall vision of Hope Center Ministries.
As a minister of the gospel, The Campus Director is responsible for facilitating marriages, communion, baptisms and funerals as those opportunities present themselves, serving the spiritual needs of individuals and communities through these important moments of life and faith.
Key Areas of Ministry & Responsibility
- A Spirit-led, mature believer who lives a Christ-centered life that is evident in teaching, leadership, relationships, and daily conduct.
- Ensures the message of Jesus Christ is clearly communicated and practically applied throughout all aspects of campus life.
- Provides clarity, direction, and spiritual grounding so residents, staff, and volunteers can understand and live out recovery by transformation in Christ.
- Serves as a visionary leader committed to the long-term health, growth, and future development of Hope Center Ministries.
- Oversees vocational training, ensuring programs are effective, growing, and aligned with ministry goals and partner expectations.
- Collaborates closely with the District Director, and leadership team to plan, guide, and support the evolution of the local campus.
- Functions as a confident, cooperative, and self-assured leader who motivates others toward mission alignment and excellence.
- Builds strong leadership culture by developing staff, interns, apprentices, volunteers, and residents into effective leaders.
- Establishes intentional leadership pipelines that identify, equip, mentor, and release emerging leaders.
- Ensures campus health and growth by providing direction, tools, support, and accountability to staff and teams.
- Models servant leadership while fostering unity, excellence, and spiritual maturity across the campus.
- Actively develops new vocational training partnerships and opportunities for resident growth and workforce development.
- Leads campus fundraising efforts and collaborates with leadership and financial partners to meet or exceed funding goals.
- Promotes innovative community engagement strategies including church partnerships, outreach events, and recovery networks.
- Represents Hope Center Ministries as a consistent model of integrity, professionalism, and community engagement.
- Prioritizes spiritual growth and personal development through ongoing discipline, accountability, and leadership development.
- Commits to maintaining compliance with all Hope Center Ministries policies, procedures, and standards of excellence.
- Ultimately shepherds a Christ-centered community where restoration, leadership development, and life transformation are central outcomes.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for ensuring the campus is spiritually healthy, operationally strong, and positioned for sustainable growth.
- Lead, equip, and develop staff so they are empowered to effectively lead volunteers, interns, apprentices, and community partners.
- Actively contribute to and advance the overall mission and vision of Hope Center Ministries through aligned leadership and execution.
- Establish and maintain an intentional leadership development pipeline that cultivates key leaders, emerging leaders, and future leadership capacity.
- Provide consistent mentoring, coaching, and hands-on training for interns and apprentices to foster growth and leadership readiness.
- Create opportunities to increase resident ownership, responsibility, and engagement within campus life and programming.
- Participate in ongoing leadership development, including monthly Campus Director development meetings for personal and professional growth.
- Continuously assess campus operations to identify, mitigate, and eliminate risks to resident safety, wellbeing, and program integrity.
Staff Development
- Provide direct leadership, supervision, and ongoing support to all campus staff to ensure alignment with mission, expectations, and operational excellence.
