Position: MECHANICAL/INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER DIRECTOR OF MANUFACTURING AND CORPORATE SERVICES

Manufacturing Operations Manager

Develop and implement strategic plans for manufacturing operations to achieve company objectives and enhance overall performance.

Provide leadership, training and direction to manufacturing teams across light metal and wood assembly, cut and sew, secure document destruction, kitting, janitorial and lawn and landscaping operations.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the assigned departments.

Oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all production areas.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence and meet production targets.

Implement and manage processes and systems to optimize productivity, reduce waste and ensure high-quality standards.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

Ensure that best practices in manufacturing are adhered to and incorporate new technologies and methods as appropriate.

Support, train and develop a diverse high-performing manufacturing teams, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Responsible for oversight of all facility maintenance of two locations.

Responsible for fleet management of approximately 50 vehicles.

Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost control and effective allocation of resources.

Optimize the use of materials, equipment, and personnel to achieve operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Collaborate with other departments, including sales and customer service, to understand customer requirements and ensure that the manufacturing process meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Address and resolve any manufacturing-related issues or concerns that arise in a timely and effective manner.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.

Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment and minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional manufacturing environment.

Equipment

Industrial machinery related to light metal, cut and sew, and wood assembly. Mechanical and carpentry tools.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and business hours are Monday through Friday, forty to forty-five hours per week. Longer hours, evening and weekend work will be necessary as required.

Travel

Minimal travel expected. Possible for work-related conferences and training.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering)

Three (3) or more years of experience in Manufacturing experience

Preferred Education and Experience

Masters of Business Administration

Two (2) or more years of Manufacturing leadership experience.

Six Sigma Certification

ISO/Lean Operating System experience

Licenses/Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Drug Screen.

Military DBID Access

NAID and DHS Background
