Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at hire.

Job Summary Responsible for the operation of the casting unit; melts and pours into ceramic molds using induction or vacuum induction furnaces according to critical, prescribed written instructions and procedures. The Caster/Mold Handler may not move for two (2) years unless movement is a promotion within the department. Works under general supervision and the direction of a caster to remove molds from the preheat furnace, position them in a timely manner for casting, perform wrap application, dewaxing, repair, and mold inspection, and perform all post‑cast operations specified.

- Comply with all site‑required policies and procedures, including but not limited to EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct, and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook.
Job Responsibilities for Caster
Insert alloy charges into an induction melting crucible (air or vacuum) manually or with mechanical assistance.Operate the casting unit to melt charge, either manually or utilizing an auto‑cast system; monitor the melt visually and ascertain temperatures with a pyrometer or immersion thermocouple.Direct the mold handler to convey mold from the preheat furnace to the casting unit.Monitor and record casting parameters required in the casting log and computer.Confirm correct alloy identification and casting sequence of molds.Warn the mold handler of broken or leaking molds.Supply the mold handler with alloy identification tags and notify of any “capping” material required on molds.Manually pour or adjust and initiate auto‑pour of melted charges.Remove and install induction crucibles.Clean the casting unit along with the inner walls of the melt chamber.Keep updated on all Activity Instructions.Use independent judgment when performing job duties.Exercise considerable care and attention while operating the casting unit.Assist in minor equipment maintenance.Lead a team of foundry service operators and mold handlers to perform work according to a schedule supplied by the supervisor.Comply with all EHS rules related to the work environment.Work overtime when needed.Job Responsibilities for Mold Handler
Read all available instructions and assist the caster to cast molds in accordance with established techniques and specific instructions on the Product Criteria, Mold Sheets, or Activity Instructions.Perform post‑cast operations such as hexamine, mold stripping, exothermic application, and vermiculite encapsulation.Ensure proper mold positioning, lower chamber cleaning, and control of variables affecting solidification and mold cooling.Move empty or hot furnace trays, change and clean door gaskets, perform heavy housekeeping, and assist in minor equipment maintenance.Notify the caster of any torn wraps, bumped, or leaking molds.Load ovens as required.Stay updated on new methods of improvement.Follow all safety practices and procedures.Locate scheduled work and move trucks to the proper…
