CASTER​/MOLD HANDLER

Responsibilities

Howmet Aerospace's Wichita Falls, TX facility is hiring Caster/Mold Handlers.

Must be able to work 12‑hour rotating shifts (2 on‑2 off, 3 on‑2 off, 2 on‑3 off). Positions are available on each shift. Priority to internal candidates.

• Starting pay $29.31, tops out at $33.88 after 9 months.
• $1.00 shift differential.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate casting unit: melt and pour alloy into ceramic molds using induction or vacuum induction furnaces.
• Remove molds from preheat furnace, position them, apply wrap, dewax, repair, inspect, and perform post‑cast operations.
• Preheat ceramic molds and melt alloy to pour into the preheated molds.
• Read and interpret Product Criteria and Activity Instructions.
• Maintain quality standards and comply with EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct.
• Assist and lead teams of foundry service operators and mold handlers.
• Operate equipment such as induction crucibles, pyrometers, thermocouples, hoists, and machinery.
• Work overtime as needed.

• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent lifting and carrying, handling hot molds, and standing for extended periods.
• Requires fine manipulation with keyboard and mouse.
• Climbing stairs and ladders, balancing, bending, and handling vibration.
• Pass vision test (Jaeger
  2) annually.

• Three to six months on‑the‑job training.
• Training areas:
  Molten Material, Combustion Systems, Hazardous Energy, Electrical.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• Ability to obtain access to export‑controlled items.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic computer skills.
• Foundry Service or Mold Handler experience.
