Howmet Aerospace’s Wichita Falls, TX facility has an opening forWax A Operator.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR ROTATING NIGHT SHIFTS, 7:00 P.M TO 7:00 A.M. (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off)
Must be willing to work overtime.
Pay rate begins at $22.01 and tops out at $27.32

JOB SUMMARY
Wax “A” operators are responsible for the following skills: pattern inspection, pattern sub-assembly, mold assembly, including gating into finished molds, pinner/robot, engraving, 35 Ton/50 Ton/ET-50/SI-250 injection. Wax “B” injectors will have a minimum of 90 days to complete Wax “B” cell training. Wax “B” cell operators will have a minimum of 90 days to complete Wax “B” injector training. Trainees must successfully complete written and practical assessment of skills/knowledge at end of skills training.
* Previous qualified internal employees may interview for Wax “A” position if training record supports required job specifications. If chosen, the operator will go through refresher training. Once complete, operator will move from Operator “B” status to Operator “A” status.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Must be able to read and intepret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI)
- Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision.
- Must be able to maintain expected quality levels.
- Comply with all site required policies and procedures, including but not limited to:
- EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Sets up equipment as required to perform specific activities.
2. Performs set-up of dimensional gauges.
3. Dimensionally inspects cores and wax patterns using supplied gauging to specified tolerances.
4. Performs inspection of all patterns and decides to accept, repair or scrap the part per documented instructions.
5. Follows established protocol for notification of potential deviations or scrap trends.
6. Attaches the pattern to the gating and seals per the specified method.
7. Performs seal operations as specified.
8. Performs sub-assembly of multiple airfoil patterns.
9. Performs dip seal operations as specified ensuring that the gates are sealed on the mold but are not over dipped.
10. Responsible for the quality of the entire mold assembly
11. Repetitive injection and control of wax patterns and sprues.
12. Performs inspection of all patterns and sprues. Determines whether to accept, reject, or repair the pattern per documented instructions.
13. Follows established protocol for notification of potential deviations or scrap trends.
14. Performs set-up of dimensional gauges.
15. Utilizes the necessary fixturing or gauges to ensure dimensional conformance of the patterns, molds, cores, etc. to specified tolerances.
16. Performs specified operations during injection cycle.
17. Torch sprues, seal and pour cup. Add bracing as required per engineering specifications.
18. Maintains necessary supplies for the area to maximize productivity.
19. Must pay close attention to detail.
