The Howmet engines business produces world-class aerospace engine components, including investment castings, fasteners, rings and forgings. Our vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts enable the next generation of quieter, cleaner and more fuel-efficient aerospace engines. Able to supply more than 90% of structural and rotating aerospace engine components.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 2 years of experience in production planning/scheduling OR 1 or more internships/development rotations in supply chain/production planning in a manufacturing environment OR AA Degree plus 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with production planning/scheduling responsibilities OR 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications APICS Certification is preferred

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Self-starter and ability to manage multiple projects. Demonstrates competent use of automated order system. Solid base knowledge of manufacturing process and flow of material.  Strong quantitative analysis skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel. Ability to develop and use planning strategies.

JOB SUMMARY:

Work closely with suppliers, customers, manufacturing, engineering, quality and customer service to generate and execute schedules that meet customer demands while also meeting the plant’s internal goals. Actively participate in the forecasting/planning process. Manage inventory movement activities and physical inventory comparisons.
