As a Manufacturing Floor Lead, you will oversee daily production workflows to ensure high-quality output and operational excellence. You will serve as a key leader in driving continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining rigorous safety standards, and mentoring a high-performing production team to meet ambitious manufacturing targets.
As a Manufacturing Floor Lead, you will oversee daily production workflows to ensure high-quality output and operational excellence. You will serve as a key leader in driving continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining rigorous safety standards, and mentoring a high-performing production team to meet ambitious manufacturing targets.
Responsibilities- Direct daily production activities to maximize output efficiency while maintaining strict quality control standards.
- Champion a culture of safety by enforcing rigorous EHS protocols and conducting proactive incident prevention training.
- Utilize root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies to resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Manage production data accuracy within ERP systems to track KPIs, material utilization, and scrap rates.
- Coordinate equipment changeovers and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize line performance.
- Coach and develop team members, fostering an environment of accountability and professional growth.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure a clean, organized, and compliant manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3–5 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
- 1–2 years of direct team leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong proficiency in operational metrics, KPI management, and production reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
- Solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and LOTO procedures.
- Experience with extrusion processes or plastic manufacturing.
- Technical proficiency in SAP or similar enterprise resource planning software.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or Kaizen methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical or management field.
