Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! This position will support the Medical Oncology Department at our Wichita Falls, Texas location. This is a full‑time Monday‑Friday position (8:00 am‑5:00 pm) with no weekends, call or major holidays.

What

does the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) do?

Under general supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. The role requires recognition of physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care and participation in company‑wide quality initiatives. The RN supports and adheres to the US Oncology compliance program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
  • Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
  • Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
  • Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
  • Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
  • Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments for patients.
  • Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient's chart.
  • As necessary, facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
  • Assist patients in locating available community resources.
  • Collaborate with inter‑professional teams.
  • Act as a resource to LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
  • Willing to consider entry, mid, or senior level candidates.
  • Current RN state license in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Working Conditions

The work environment includes exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Physical Requirements

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time and occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to a normal range. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
