Dialysis Registered Nurse

Sage Specialty Hospital of Wichita Falls is now hiring for a PRN Dialysis Registered Nurse We are seeking qualified and compassionate professionals to deliver specialized nursing care to patients experiencing chronic or acute kidney failure In this role you will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions administering treatments collaborating with healthcare teams and providing education and support to patients and their families Responsibilities Perform and monitor hemodialysis treatments ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards

Assess patients before during and after dialysis documenting vital signs symptoms and treatment responses

Administer prescribed medications related to dialysis care and monitor for side effects or complications

Operate troubleshoot and maintain dialysis equipment ensuring proper setup calibration and infection control procedures

Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members

Educate patients and families on kidney disease dialysis processes vascular access care and lifestyle management

Respond to medical emergencies during treatment using clinical judgment to stabilize patients and escalate care when needed

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records including treatment notes assessments and incident reports

Coordinate patient scheduling and appointments continuity of care and communication with external providers

Participate in quality improvement initiatives staff meetings and ongoing professional development to support best practices in dialysis care Qualifications Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Must hold a current Texas state license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the standards of the State Board of Nursing Long term acute care and rehabilitation experience is preferred

Certified Dialysis Nurse CDN or Certified Nephrology Nurse CNN preferred Critical Care experience is recommended

Must be able to read write and speak English as well as possess good verbal and written communication skills

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Word Excel PowerPoint

BLS required

ACLS preferred
