Job OverviewRegistered nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, following a patient‑centered care model in a diverse work space.
Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence‑based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies and procedures, and the directives of the medical staff. The registered nurse applies the nursing process to develop a plan of care that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and families.
ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care while integrating nursing knowledge, evidence‑based practices, and patient safety standards.
Qualifications Experience:- Working knowledge of the nursing process and customer service principles
- National certification in a specialty preferred
- Acute‑care hospital experience preferred
- IV skill preferred
- Secondary language skills preferred
- Current CT RN licensure
- Certified in BLS within the first three months of employment
- ACLS required for ED, CCU, and designated staff in ACU/PACU and Endo; strongly recommended for cross‑trained staff
- NNR required for OB
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
