American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring a strong cardiac background and prior travel nursing experience.

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) of a hospital environment
• Heavy cardiac and CVA patient population
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips including heparin and nitro (titration and non-titration)
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Active TX or Compact RN license required, license must be in-hand before start
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong cardiac background required
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience managing and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred

• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana testing, and a positive result results in automatic cancellation
• Candidates should avoid any products, including CBD, that could result in a positive drug screen upon arrival
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved prior to accepting the offer
• Must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting the offer or have a completion plan in place
• Orientation includes non-billable modules averaging 2-3 hours, completed via Oracle during the first 16 hours of orientation
