American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU Float position requiring prior travel experience and a willingness to float primarily to Med Surg.

• Pgressive Care Unit float position supporting primarily Med Surg as needed
• Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours), 19:00-7:00
• 84 hours biweekly with 72 hour guarantee
• Must agree to a 36/48 hour alternating schedule; straight 48s may be considered
• Weekend work required as needed, potentially most weekends during the contract
• Block scheduling may be accommodated, but set schedules cannot be approved
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred

• activeRN license (Texas or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line management, and blood product administration
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube management, and ABG interpretation
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry monitoring
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Wound care and isolation precaution/PPE skills
