American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 3 years of ER experience and multiple specialty certifications.
Details- Combined adult/pediatric general Emergency Department setting
- Level II Trauma Center that is also STEMI and Stroke certified
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule with alternating 3x12 and 4x12 hour shifts (18:00-06:00) on a 36/48 hour alternating pattern
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- or compact RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of ER experience required (2 years accepted if from a high volume/trauma facility)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
- Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC, MAB
- Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Skilled in emergency medications including IV vasopressors and continuous IV sedation
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
- Experience managing pediatric and adult emergency conditions including respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
- Experience with shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
- Skilled in triage and isolation precautions/PPE protocols
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and psychiatric emergencies
- Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for any positive result
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility and local candidates are not accepted
- Must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting the offer
- License must be in-hand prior to start date
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
