American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring a TX or compact RN license, strong cardiac experience, and prior travel nursing experience.

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) of a hospital setting
• Heavy cardiac and CVA patient population
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips, including heparin and nitro (titration and non-titration)
• Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
• Day shift schedule with options for 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:00)
• 13-week assignment length

• Active TX or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

• Provide cardiac nursing care including monitoring, medication management, and emergency response for a cardiac/CVA patient population
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, which includes marijuana testing, and a positive result results in automatic cancellation
• Candidates should avoid any products, including CBD, that could result in a positive drug screen
