Quality Assurance Technician

Work Model:
This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Position Overview:

We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. You'll work closely with production, engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and customers to maintain compliance with ISO quality standards, drive corrective actions, and help deliver exceptional products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System and assist with certification activities.
  • Conduct internal and external process audits to ensure compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
  • Identify, document, and investigate non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Maintain quality documentation, procedures, and records while ensuring current revisions are available and in use.
  • Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and precision measurement instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, and other inspection tools.
  • Perform dimensional inspections and document inspection results accurately.
  • Conduct first article inspections and support supplier qualification and acceptance processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve product quality and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Respond to customer quality concerns and support Customer Performance Reviews.
  • Evaluate returned products (RGA) and provide recommendations regarding warranty claims and product performance.
  • Track and maintain quality performance metrics and reporting.
  • Support the administration and operation of the scrap system.
  • Order replacement tools and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain the quality laboratory and non-conforming material areas in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform precision measurements and inspections.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computer-based systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated with a continuous learning mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or manufacturing quality roles.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001-certified environment.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of foundry, molding, or metal manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of machine shop practices and manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with precision measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and related inspection tools.
  • Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) is a plus.
