Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Repairs and tests aircraft and engine environmental system, pneudraulic and mechanical/electrical system components. Performs task under minimum supervision coordinating activities with the senior specialist.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESKnowledge - A working knowledge of the inspection, repair and testing of the environmental system components of aircraft and associated engines is required.
Education - Completion of high school or the equivalent is required. Completion of specialized courses in the environmental systems field is desired. The ability to read and write and to comprehend technical data is required.
Experience - A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the environmental systems repair field is required.
Special Conditions - Must be able to lift a minimum weight of 50 lbs., stand for prolonged periods of time, and have the ability to climb ladders and stairs. Normal color vision is required. Possession of a valid driver's license is necessary to obtain flight line driving privilege.
Travel - Travel may be required
Location - Sheppard Air Force Base, TX / TDY to various CONUS locations
