Facilities Performs skilled maintenance and repair work for HFC’s facilities and vehicles.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Works under the general supervision of the Property Manager. Responsible for skilled maintenance and repair work in areas such as plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting, electrical, mechanical, heating & air conditioning, and grounds maintenance, and other duties assigned. Work involves maintenance of all facilities and vehicles. Works under moderate supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Travel is required for which a center vehicle is provided.
Some on-call after hours required. HFC incorporates principles of trauma-informed care throughout the agency, emphasizing cultural sensitivity and a safe and respectful environment for all individuals served and staff. All job descriptions include the responsibility to learn about and implement trauma-informed practices within the scope of work for the position. Reassignment is a condition of employment that may occur at the employer’s discretion.

Education, Training, and
Experience:
High school graduation or GED and must have 5 years’ experience in building/vehicle maintenance and repair work. Must have current driver’s license and be insurable under Center insurance. Must pass all Center-mandated trainings.

- Ability to fix any maintenance request quickly and efficiently.

- Ability to add and subtract.
- Ability to operate electric drills, saws, handheld commode augers and general maintenance tools.
- Skilled in the use of personal and network computers, word processing, database, spreadsheet and office management software (Microsoft Office).
- Must be able to work well with others
- Work well under stress and meet deadlines
- Must understand safety measures and laws
- Excellent observation skills
- Knowledge of the construction, repair, maintenance, and operation of buildings, equipment, and utility systems.
