Job Summary:

M1 is looking for a Part-Time Vehicle Operator who will perform daily inspections of company vehicles to ensure that they are free of mechanical defects. Operate automobiles, light trucks, 1 1/2ton trucks and passenger buses in support of section operations.

1. Performs daily maintenance and inspections of vehicles using AF Form 1800 as a guide and reports discrepancies to vehicle mechanics. *

2. Maintains vehicles in operational condition.

3. Complies with driving, fire prevention and safety precaution at all times.

4. Provides timely aircrew flight line taxi service.

5. Reviews safety directives at least monthly to remain knowledgeable.

6. Completes all necessary manual and automated records required by USAF and Company directives.

7. Maintains work areas in neat and orderly condition and keeps vehicles clean and waxed.

8. Complies with the requirements of the FOD prevention, housekeeping, tool control, environmental and safety programs

Qualifications and

Experience:

Knowledge:

* A working knowledge of all aspects of vehicle care and maintenance is required. Knowledge of the safety precautions to be observed while operating vehicles on the flight line is required.

Education:

* Completion of high school or the equivalent is required.
* The ability to read and write is required.

Experience:

* No experience requirements are established.

Special Considerations:

* Possession of a current Texas or Oklahoma driver's license is necessary to obtain flight line driving privileges.

Working Conditions:

* Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties
