Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a contribution‑minded Senior Accounting Analyst to join its Finance, Accounting and Risk organization, focused on trade support accounting and associated controls and stewardship of company assets. This position requires a strong foundation in financial transactions and accounting principles, with the ability to develop advanced ERP and data knowledge, and apply strategic thinking to drive transformational improvements.
The analyst will collaborate across multiple capabilities and leadership levels within our global operations. Our TeamThe accounting analyst will be part of the larger Controllership Team, which oversees consolidated financials, audits, taxes, cost management, and reporting. This position is located at the Wichita, KS headquarters and offers a flexible work schedule.
What You Will Do- As a financial partner to the business, ensure the accurate accounting and recording of critical business transactions as part of the month‑end close process. Provide a clear understanding of key financial drivers and deliver insightful analyses to support decision‑making.
- Develop, document, and sustain efficient accounting processes that provide strong, risk‑based internal controls and scale with business growth.
- Drive improvements and transformation in critical accounting period closing activities, overseeing account reconciliations, maintaining strong internal control stewardship, and ensuring compliance with both US GAAP and foreign statutory financial reporting requirements.
- Analyze the general ledger and financial statements, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) to deliver meaningful insights to business partners. Leverage data and advanced analytical tools to extract relevant information and effectively communicate the business narrative. Understand business goals and constraints, solve complex problems, and add tangible value to the organization.
- Support special projects including system integrations and finance transformation initiatives.
- Experience in accounting, finance, or other related roles that demonstrates a professional understanding of accounting and financial concepts and cost accounting principles.
- Experience managing and analyzing large volumes of data sourced from multiple systems, utilizing advanced analytical tools to develop informed points of view that guide business decisions.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related Business field.
- Experience using One Stream, Power BI, Alteryx, or other data visualization tools and/or other advanced technologies (machine learning, AI, etc.) and process transformation / process implementation experience.
- Knowledge of US GAAP requirements, specifically in the areas of derivative and inventory accounting.
- Experience and strong desire to improve financial processes through automation, technology adoption, and transformation initiatives.
