Accounting Manager

CB Partners is partnering with a growing organization to identify an Accounting Manager to join its accounting and finance team. This individual will play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close, accounting operations, process improvement initiatives, and the development of scalable accounting practices that support continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close activities and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
• Review and analyze monthly financial results, identifying trends, variances, and areas requiring further investigation.
• Prepare financial reports and provide insights to support business decision-making.
• Oversee core accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense management, and general ledger activities.
• Manage account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Support inventory and operational accounting activities, including related journal entries and reporting.
• Apply GAAP principles to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions, accruals, and expenses.
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls while supporting compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis projects.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the accounting function.
• Assist with system enhancements, implementations, and process documentation.
• Partner with leadership on special projects, strategic initiatives, and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Experience with financial reporting, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, CMA, or MBA.
• Experience working in a multi-location organization.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting process improvements, internal controls, and system implementations.
