Accounting Assistant/Inventory control Specialist

The Accounting Assistant/Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for assisting the accounting department in completing basic bookkeeping, clerical, accounting tasks and performing inventory cycle counts.

• Support duties related to accounts payable
• Match all incoming invoices with the appropriate supporting documentation
• Enter invoices into accounting software and set invoices for timely payment
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• Correspond with vendors and respond to all vendor inquiries
• Provide supporting documentation for annual audits
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly physical cycle counts in multiple stockrooms
• Maintain efficient process for physical cycle counting for all inventory categories
• Maintain count accuracy in ERP system
• Dispose of obsolete inventory as directed
• Maintain organization within each stockroom
• Assist Cost Accountant with updating inventory spreadsheets
• Assist with various projects, as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit and Harlow Aerostructures

Knowledge of general accounting procedures

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft office products
• Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities
• Able to lift up to 20lbs
• Demonstrates ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines

• Associate's degree in accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or similar field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted.
• 1-3 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience
