Accounting Assistant/Inventory control Specialist

Job Functions:The Accounting Assistant/Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for assisting the accounting department in completing basic bookkeeping, clerical, accounting tasks and performing inventory cycle counts.
- Support duties related to accounts payable
- Match all incoming invoices with the appropriate supporting documentation
- Enter invoices into accounting software and set invoices for timely payment
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Correspond with vendors and respond to all vendor inquiries
- Provide supporting documentation for annual audits
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly physical cycle counts in multiple stockrooms
- Maintain efficient process for physical cycle counting for all inventory categories
- Maintain count accuracy in ERP system
- Dispose of obsolete inventory as directed
- Maintain organization within each stockroom
- Assist Cost Accountant with updating inventory spreadsheets
- Assist with various projects, as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit and Harlow Aerostructures
Required:
Knowledge of general accounting procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft office products
- Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities
- Able to lift up to 20lbs
- Demonstrates ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines
Required:
- Associate's degree in accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or similar field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted.
- 1-3 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience
