Office Administrator/ Coordinator, Admin Assistant
Opportunity for a motivated student to build strong customer service and administrative skills while supporting fellow students.
You will join the Tuition Fees Income team, who are responsible for billing, payment collection, and advising students on tuition fee matters. Your main focus will be supporting students, answering queries, and helping ensure they receive clear, friendly, and timely information.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Communicates well
- Wants to gain practical office experience in a supportive environment
- Is willing to learn and develop new skills (no finance experience required)
The successful candidate is expected to work on Mondays and Wednesdays in the office. Please confirm your availability in your application.
You will be supported by the team and gradually trained to help with tasks such as:
- Responding to student enquiries by email and phone
- Monitoring shared inboxes and allocating queries appropriately
- Providing clear, helpful advice to students with questions about tuition fees
- Assisting with sending payment reminder emails
- Organising and updating student fee‑related records
- Assigning and organising Student Tuition Fees Queries
- Processing Interruption of Study and Withdrawal notifications
- Helping maintain smooth administrative workflows within the team
This role will help you develop:
- Strong customer service skills, including handling enquiries and communicating with a wide range of people
- Practical office and administrative experience, valuable for future professional roles
- Confidence using digital tools and university systems, with training and support
We are looking for potential and willingness to learn.
- The successful candidate should demonstrate:
- Friendly, clear, and professional communication skills, adapting your style to different people
- Ability to respond to enquiries and resolve issues, or escalate when needed
- Ability to complete a variety of administrative tasks, including writing clearly and concisely
- Confidence using common IT tools (e.g. Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Abilityto follow and maintain administrative processes (training provided)
- Ability to work collaboratively and support your team
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload within agreed timelines
- Previous experience in an office or administrative environment
- Ability to communicate in Welsh
