Job Description Summary
The Simulation Program Coordinator at the KUSM‑Wichita Simulation Center provides administrative, operational, and educational support for simulation activities and programs. This position coordinates simulation events, supports learners and faculty, assists with Standardized Patient activities, maintains simulation records and resources, and collaborates with the Medical Director and Operations Manager to ensure high‑quality simulation experiences.
Job Duties- Assist in organizing and coordinating simulation‑based training sessions, workshops, and events, including scheduling Standardized Patients (SPs).
- Maintain the Trumba calendar, room reservations, and track attendance for all Simulation Center events.
- Assist in development of case training materials in conjunction with faculty and staff.
- Conduct training sessions and provide coaching and feedback to SPs on case facts and desired role portrayal.
- Assist with SP preparation and setup of simulation lab before each session.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to simulation activities.
- Support collaborative efforts with educational leaders, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with development and monitoring of the Simulation Center website.
- Participate in conferences, professional development opportunities, and organizational activities relevant to simulation education and administration.
This position requires a flexible schedule to support simulation activities and events and is an on‑site position.
Required Qualifications:Work Experience
- Four (4) years of project coordination or event coordination experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, education, healthcare administration, communications, or related field. - Experience working in higher education or healthcare.

Pay Range: $24.71 - $35.82 (Minimum $24.71, Midpoint $30.29, Maximum $35.82). The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
