Job StoryFirePoint Innovations is looking for a Program Student Assistant.
Job SummaryA student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties- Assisting in tracking company engagement information and recording notes on detailed discovery calls.
- Supporting efforts in identifying relevant funding opportunities, solicitations, and challenges for qualified companies we engage with.
- Dedicated assistance to support event coordination.
- Updating and populating the Ecosystem calendar with ongoing statewide events for team/partner awareness (Encountering Innovation, Fuse Ventures, etc.).
- Assisting with research efforts and coordination of the Kansas Defense Coalition.
- Providing additional support for table/booth presence at local trade shows, events, and conferences.
- Contributing to Tasker Projects, particularly those involving data population as assigned by ARI.
- Researching and identifying companies that align with our Transition Programs.
High school diploma or equivalent
Additional Requirements- Business, Management, Entrepreneurship
- Communications, Marketing, or PR
- MIS, Data Analytics, or IT
- Engineering or STEM fields
- Must have reliable transportation
- Most work will be done from Groover Labs
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets
- Able to research and summarize information
- Organized, proactive, and able to work independently
- Interest in innovation, defense, technology, or government programs is a plus.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
- Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
