Become a part of our caring community This Variable Staffing Pool (VSP)/as-needed position provides coverage when scheduled receptionists are out of office or when it provides additional front desk support. Center needs may vary work hours, and we do not guarantee shifts. The Medical Receptionist - VSP supports Center Well medical offices by delivering exceptional front-desk service on a flexible, as-needed basis.
You will welcome patients, answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and assist with a variety of administrative responsibilities to help ensure smooth daily clinic operations. The Medical Receptionist - VSP welcomes patients and offers administrative support within a physician practice or center. This may include the following responsibilities:
- Greet Patients:
Welcome patients and visitors, both in person and over the phone. - Schedule Appointments:
Manage appointment calendars, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff to increase schedules. - Patient Records:
Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy. Work in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. - Billing and Payments:
Ensure patient accounts are updated correctly. May include collecting copay at time of visit. - Inquiries and Communication:
Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide general information. - Office Management:
Ensure the reception area is tidy, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary materials. - Administrative Support:
Help with other administrative tasks, such as ordering supplies, managing office inventory, and sending courier packages.
- 1+ year experience in healthcare customer service background in retail, hospitality, or call centers also considered
- Convey information and maintain a positive, tone during calls
- Experience coordinating tasks, resources, and schedules to ensure efficient workflow
- Experience using MS Office tools for reporting, data analysis, and workflow optimization
- Experience improving patient care and experience
- This is a patient-facing role and part of our Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. We require TB screening upon hire.
- Experience with EMR systems Additional Information: This role is considered patient-facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Scheduled Weekly Hours 1 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
