Koch Industries is seeking a Summer 2027 Natural Gas Analyst Intern who is excited about discovering their passions and potential while gaining real experience within our companies that creates value for our customers.

Locations Offered:
Wichita, KS;
Houston, TX; or Kansas City, MO. Final placement will be based on business need and candidate alignment.

What You Will Do
  • Support day-to-day natural gas scheduling and commercial operations activities, including pipeline nominations, transactional management, positions, daily exposures, and operational reporting.
  • Manage transactional systems and ensure timely data entry, reconciliation, and exchange tie-outs to support accurate commercial operations.
  • Create daily profit and operational summaries while developing insights on commercial and scheduling activities for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Partner with commercial, trading, scheduling, and transportation teams to optimize product movement and execute best operational practices.
  • Support trade reconciliation, accounting booking efforts, and cost management activities related to commercial operations.
  • Develop an understanding of regional natural gas markets, pipeline systems, and customer demand through market analysis, simulations, and business case studies.
  • Take ownership of projects that provide recommendations for commercial opportunities, operational improvements, and strategic growth initiatives.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Eligible for full-time employment before or by May 2028
  • Enrolled in a degree, certificate program, or workforce training program related to Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, Accounting, or related field
  • Willing and able to provide on-call support and respond to business needs outside of normal working hours, as needed.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Experience with commodities, energy markets, natural gas, trading, scheduling, logistics, or transportation

Experience with data analytics platforms, business process technology, and basic coding skills such as PowerBI, Alteryx, or Tableau
