Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a Summer 2027 Logistics Intern who is excited about discovering their passions and potential while gaining real experience that creates value for our customers. You'll have the opportunity to support KAES and/or one of our companies:
Koch Fertilizer, Koch Agronomic Services, and Koch Methanol.
- Coordinate rail, truck, terminal, and product movement activities to help ensure customers receive products safely, reliably, and on time.
- Partner with logistics, commercial, operations, carriers, and customer-facing teams to support daily execution and long-term value creation.
- Analyze transportation data, inventory positions, and logistics trends to identify opportunities for improved performance.
- Contribute to projects that improve transportation efficiency, asset utilization, cost effectiveness, and customer service.
- Support commercial and logistics-related processes that help products move effectively to customers and distributors.
- Analyze distributor, market, and operational data to support planning, execution, and decision making.
- Assist with contract entry, supply and demand analysis, and process improvements that strengthen customer service.
- Use analytics tools and technology, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to improve processes and generate actionable insights.
- Coordinate rail and truck shipments to ensure customers receive product safely, reliably, and on time while balancing changing business needs.
- Partner with commercial planners, terminals, carriers, and customers to optimize transportation, inventory, and asset utilization across the supply chain.
- Apply analytical and economic thinking to proactively identify risks, solve problems, and improve customer service and operational performance.
- Leverage data, systems, and technology to drive process improvements, create efficiencies, and support the ongoing transformation of transportation operations.
- Enrolled in a degree or alternative program. (e.g., 4 year college program, 2 year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.)
- Eligible for full-time employment before or by May 2029.
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
- Enrolled in a degree or certificate program related to Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Agricultural Business, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience with transportation, logistics, agriculture, customer service, operations, or process improvement.
- Previous work or internship experience.
- Experience with data analytics platforms, business process technology, and basic coding or reporting tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, or Tableau.
