Field Engineer

Field Engineer

• Lead a crew of 5–6 employees to complete daily tasks and quality projects.
• Collaborate closely with project superintendents to meet or exceed daily production goals.
• Work with sub‑contractors and provide directions as needed.
• Adhere to company safety policies while working at all times.
• Assist superintendents with site layout, including use of a total station to establish control points, elevations and layout accuracy.
• Self‑perform a variety of scopes: site preparation, formwork, concrete (pre‑mix, placement and finishing), steel erection, and more.
• Complete project close‑out work, including trim and finish carpentry, punch‑list items and final inspection preparation.
• Assist workers with labor‑based tasks, including heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds).
• Perform other duties as directed by the job site supervisor.

• Proven ability to lead others and demonstrate strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work alongside crew and set the pace.
• Substantial experience in construction craft.
• Experience with vertical concrete structures and flatwork.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, means and materials.
• Ability to read plans, specifications and schedules; foresee potential challenges.
• Strict adherence to OSHA Construction Standards.
• Physical ability to stoop, kneel, balance, crawl frequently and lift 25–75+ lbs as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or a related field.
• Experience in bridge and heavy highway construction.
• Prior safety certifications (OSHA 10/OSHA 30).
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as a skid steer, aerial lifts, front‑end loader and excavator.
