Job SummaryThis position is responsible for managing field operations for self‑performed, large‑scope commercial projects such as water/waste‑water treatment facilities, industrial structures and commercial buildings.
Job Responsibilities- Work alongside the Project Manager to ensure projects are completed safely and on schedule.
- Manage and assist with self‑performed and subcontracted scopes of work.
- Maintain an organized and safe working environment.
- Provide status reports regarding production, anticipated challenges and labor needs.
- Conduct scheduled subcontractor meetings and safety debriefs.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations across all project phases.
- Resolve any project‑related issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to timelines and budgets.
- Other miscellaneous duties as directed by the VP of the Commercial Building Division.
- 5+ years of experience managing large‑scope commercial projects as a general contractor.
- Proven experience in managing skilled trades and subcontractors.
- Strong working knowledge of commercial means and methods and general best practices.
- Ability to interpret plans and provide clear direction regarding all required specifications.
- Knowledge of and strict adherence to OSHA Construction Standards.
- Ability to collaborate and cooperate with peers, clients, subcontractors, general public and code officials.
- Continuously keep current on emerging industry trends/technology and pursue continuous education.
- Consistent with company values of skill, integrity and responsibility.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, engineering or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to run a total station is preferred.
- Experience with water/waste‑water treatment facilities is a plus.
