Job Description
Olsson provides construction management, administration, and observation services for public and private projects, ensuring work is performed in conformance with project documents. Services include daily observation/inspection, project documentation, submittal review, design support, shop drawing review, payment application review, payroll review, and oversight for material testing.
As a Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in diverse construction projects such as roadways, utility infrastructure, and water/sewer distribution systems. Your responsibilities include interpreting project specifications and plans, inspecting and coordinating construction work, coordinating schedules, verifying that projects meet the documents, and overseeing projects of varying complexity. Working collaboratively with experienced construction managers and engineers, you will drive projects to successful completion and contribute to overall excellence and quality.
Job Location and Travel
You will travel to various job sites at all stages of construction, working in all types of terrain and weather conditions. Candidates located in Western Kansas (Garden City, Dodge City, Hays, Liberal), the Flint Hills region (Manhattan, Junction City, Emporia, Wamego, etc.), Topeka or Kansas City will be considered.

- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or another applicable field.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in construction observation or construction inspection.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- OSHA 10 preferred, but not required.
