Construction Intern
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Intern to join our team Summer 2027. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to learn about the construction industry, project management, site operations, and safety practices. You will work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to real projects while gaining valuable field and office experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in day-to-day construction site operations under the guidance of the site supervisor or project manager.
- Help manage project documentation, including drawings, RFIs, submittals, and daily reports.
- Support coordination between subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, safety, and compliance.
- Attend project meetings and take meeting minutes.
- Assist with estimating, scheduling, and budgeting tasks as needed.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies on-site.
- Perform other administrative or field duties as assigned.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with AutoCAD, Procore, or similar software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work on active construction sites and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience in the construction industry.
- Exposure to project management processes and field operations.
- Mentorship from experienced industry professionals.
- Opportunity to work on real construction projects at varying stages of completion.
- Work may be performed in both office and outdoor construction environments.
- Conditions will vary based on assignment, weather, stage of the project, or type of project.
This is an hourly position that qualifies for mileage, travel time, and per diem.
